Services
I see individuals, couples, and families remotely (via Zoom) as well as in person at my office in Culver City. My regular office hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday – Thursday. If you need to be seen outside these days & times, special arrangements and fees may be available.
Couples Therapy
“There are no roses without thorns” in relationships. Rather than rehashing old, repetitive, complaints, I help couples find the underlying thorns of unresolved issues and work through the pain to discover new levels of passion and peace. I will teach/guide you how to achieve your goals, including: improving communication, managing conflict, recovering from infidelity/affairs, making a last ditch effort to work things out, or finding a compassionate way to end the relationship.
Family Therapy
Families are our most basic societal unit. Families function as a system with explicit, but unspoken rules and roles for all members. I provide families with the tools to understand how their family system works as well as teach them how to address issues, like: oppositional behavior, parent/child issues, the impact of separation, divorce, blended families, parenting styles.
Family therapy is particularly helpful when one or more members is in active addiction. Instead of just treating the addict, I work with all family members to teach them how addiction affects all family members and, more importantly, how to promote healing among and between family members.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
KAP (Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy) is a breakthrough treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Substance Abuse that is transforming the face of mental health treatment!
Ketamine-assisted therapy is a more effective approach for treatment-resistant conditions than traditional SSRI’s for 3 reasons
Swift Symptom Reduction: The urgent need for symptom relief is one of the most challenging aspects of living with depression. KAP offers a quicker route to feeling better. 80% of clients report a marked reduction in symptoms within 2 hours of initial session; 90% report improvement after 3 sessions.
Rewires the Brain Instead of attempting to reduce symptoms of an existing negative mindset, ketamine actually promotes neurogenesis: the growth of new neuronal connections that creates healthier, happier outcomes.
Integrating Insights into actions for long-term positive KAP optimizes the window of neuronal plasticity by combining the medicine with Integration sessions to expedite the process of insight, growth, and change. Integration is a highly specialized form of talk-therapy designed to harness this window for change in ways that transforms ketamine-inspired ideas into daily action plans. The synergetic pairing ketamine and integration transforms temporary “states” of expanded consciousness into durable, character “traits” promoting long-term, positive change.
Substance/Process dependence/addiction: Addressing the multidimensional nature of addictions requires a multi-modality approach to treatment. Using “The Spectrum of Sobriety” interdisciplinary model outlined in The Staying Sober Handbook, individuals develop their own version of health, happiness, and sobriety.
Healing the addicted family system: Addiction impacts all members of the family. That is why, family, friends, and loved ones also benefit from treatment. Healing begins when the family “system” breaks it’s silence and seeks help.
Co-parenting/Blended-Family issues: Marriages and relationships may end, but parenting lasts a lifetime. Learning parent effectiveness and co-parenting skills to gives individuals the tools they need to successfully navigate the challenges around raising child together while apart.
